Zabee Cozette Litter

We were having a very typical afternoon, Cozette had been sent to us from Washington to be bred to Zabee three months earlier however her season was missed so she stayed with us until her next season to avoid the additional travel.
You can imagine the shock when I looked out the window to see Cozete up high in the oak tree with Zabee courting her from below. Being concerned I slowly started to approach them trying not to scare her as I was worried she would seriously hurt herself if she jumped down. By the time I reached the tree not only was Cozette still in the tree but Zabee found his way up to be with his bride in the tree. Once I realized they could jump in and out of the tree without hurting themselves we left them alone and watched with amazement. For the duration of her stay with us Cozette and Zabee would climb into the tree and sit together watching the birds and boats on the adjacent lake. The interesting part is that none of the other dogs who were in the same yard ever attempted to get into the tree and once Cozette was pregnant and left for home Zabee never went into the tree again. Perhaps true love was the motivation?
