The first dog show event they attended was a fun match. Deric had trained their "pet" Dalmatian named Roman in obedience and they went to this match along with their obedience class instructor.

Once entered in the obedience classes, the instructor suggested they also enter Roman in the conformation class as well. Not having any idea what to do, Roman somehow managed to win the Breed and went on to win the Non-Sporting Group, this however caused a conflict between the Best in Match ring and the Obedience ring. Deric chose to skip the obedience classes and went on to win Best in Match. He has never again stepped into the obedience ring!

Deric and Trina were both drawn to the sport and decided that Trina would like to have a dog for her to show. This is how they ended up with their first Saluki.

Their home has been shared with Salukis ever since and their love for the breed is endless.

Salukis carrying the Z'Bee kennel name have earned American, Canadian, Finnish, Swedish, International Championships and field championships and have been ranked among the top competitors in the  US and Europe.
